melting
My friend came over the other day with her adorable little girl. I asked her if the grandmas just melt for her. Isaac became very concerned.
Isaac: why is her grandma melting?
Me: it is just something you say when a baby is cute.
Isaac: My grandmas don't melt!
Me: No, honey your grandmas aren't going to melt.
Isaac: I love my grandma.

Here is a picture of Isaac and his friend Brody. Every Tuesday Brody rides with us to school and it is so funny to hear them talk. They are just these funny little guys who love to tell jokes and they have thoughts in their head they share with each other. It is always entertaining when they are in the backseat. I'm glad that Isaac has such a good friend.

Quiet time
Today during nap Isaac asked if he could just have quiet time because he wasn't tired. I asked him what he wanted to do and here was his response.
Isaac: I'd like to play with the dinosaurs, and since Asher is asleep and not interested in his dinosaur I'd like to play with his so I will have two.
Well, he has that figured out doesn't he.

Dinner time
Dan and I are doing weight watchers right now and I am making a lot more veggies. Isaac looked at his plate tonight and saw what was on it and this was his response. "Butternut squash! We're doomed!"

fighting
Ok, so the boys were fighting and it is not good, but it is funny. Isaac just told Asher to leave him alone and pushed him. Asher hit him and they both went to time out...Then they had to say sorry and hug. The hug caused them to fall over. Asher then tried to help Isaac up, but he didn't want up, but Asher wanted him up . So Asher was pulling and Isaac was screaming and then Asher falls over on top of Isaac who chucks a toy at his head. Then Asher smacks him and the cycle starts over.

Playing dress up
Here are just a few pictures from our day. Today we played dress up. They were pirates. We started individual/quiet time. While Asher was having room time by himself. Isaac and I played candy land and Hi Ho Cherry oh. While Isaac had room time Asher and I played with Play dough.
Naps were hard today. I ended up having to give them vinegar to get them to stay in their bed. (after about 2 hours). Yucky behavior meant they have a yucky punishment.
Now everyone is sleeping. I'm going to finish picking up and then hopefully cut some coupons.

Will we laugh at this
So last night we had some friends over for New Year's Eve. We were upstairs playing a game and the kids were in the basement watching a movie. All of a sudden we here "no, Asher." So our friend went to check. She came up with a not so good look...
Before I finish the story let me just say we are trying to get the house ready to sell. Dan just finished painting the basement and hung pictures and a bulletin board for me to use for school. He just finished two days ago...ok back to the story.
So I asked if Asher had taken off his diaper since that was his new trick, but no, that wasn't it. So I went downstairs to see Asher and our friend's little girl with markers. They had drawn all over the freshly painted wall and my bulletin board. Praise the lord for magic erasers. I was able to get it off the walls. My board however will serve as a reminder to keep markers out of reach.
